Tasting- Santa Julia Malbec

Name: Santa Julia Malbec
Variety: Malbec
Country: Argentina
Region: N/A
Year: 2012
Price: $8.95

Wine Expert Review: The nose is full of mellow raspberry and cherry, while the palate is fleshy and round, with blackberry and a touch of raisin. Plump, not edgy, and ready to drink, with coffee and mocha notes on the finish.
My Review: This was the best red wine of the day for me. I liked the extremely fruity nose that had strong cherry and raisins. It was as if a package of raisins had just been opened. It had an interesting effect on my palate because it was slightly earthy with slight oak. I also got an aftertaste of burnt coffee, blackberry and cherry flavors. Very nice red wine.

I did not taste this wine with food.
