Tasting- Anselmi San Vincenzo

Name: Anselmi San Vincenzo
Variety: Garganega, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc
Country: Italy
Region: Veneto
Year: 2010
Price: $12.99

Wine Critic Review: "Smoke and straw notes mix with tropical mango and pineapple fruit and an exotic hint of jasmine in this exuberant white. It's medium- to full-bodied without being weighty, and offers good cut throughout. Drink now through 2017."

My Review: This Chardonnay was very interesting because I thought it was very smoky, which is something that I had yet to run in to. It had a nice nose with some definite tropical fruite flavors coming through. I thought that it tasted a little too oaky for me, though the apple an pineapple flavor in it was very nice. I would be willing to try this one again.

I did not taste this wine with food.
