Tasting- Maipe Malbec

Name: Maipe Malbec

Variety: Malbec

Country: Argentina
Region: Mendoza
Year: N/A
Price: $8.95

Wine Shop Review: Deep purple colors with violet tints, complex plum, fig, strawberry, spices and floral aromas; rounded and velvety tannins, excellent length with a distinguished character. Excellent when paired with game, roasted red meats, pasta or pizza.
My Review: this was a very nice red wine. I really enjoyed the nose because there were some strong fruit flavors that came through. I definitely got some slight strawberry patch aromas with some slight floral hints. I thought the flavor of the wine was very smooth. It had a light tannin structure that was not over the top, and had some nice hints of fruit. I couldn’t help but think that this would be very good with a nice steak. I would be very interested to try this with food next time.

I did not taste this wine with food.
