Tasting- Vina Borga Borsao

Name:
Vina Borga Borsao
Variety: 100% Grenache
Country: Spain
Region:  Campo de Borja
Year: 2012
Price: $6.95

Wine Shop Review: Also made from 100% Grenache, the 2012 Vina Borgia was fermented and aged in stainless steel. Its medium dark ruby color is followed by abundant notes of strawberries and black cherries offered in a straightforward, medium-bodied, soft, and hedonistic, round style. It is hard to believe a wine this good can sell for $7 a bottle. Enjoy it over the next 1-2 years.
My Review: I found this wine to be extremely interesting. It had a huge nose with black cherry and strawberry bombs. It was extremely fruity, which is nice coming from a red wine. Maybe it is because it is aged in stainless steel. It had a nice tannin level that wasn’t too strong, was slightly earthy, but seem to be a touch hot to me. Overall, the fruit levels in this wine really sold me on it. Good wine.

I did not taste this wine with food.
