Wine Shop Review: A vibrant Chardonnay from vineyards in
cooler climates of California. Chardonnay is well known for its characteristic
fresh apple fruit aromas and rounded, rich flavors. Weather during the 2011
harvest provided ideal growing conditions for lush, yet perfectly balanced
fruit.
My Review: This is one of my favorite Chardonnays that I
have ever had. Normally I am not a big fan of the varietal, but this was a
definite exception. It definitely had a nice apple orchard aroma with a nice
golden color. I also got some slight citrus flavors on the nose. It was a very
smooth and crisp with a slight buttery taste. For a chardonnay, it was very
full. I enjoyed this wine greatly and will be having this in the future.
I did not taste this wine with food.
