Tasting- Protocolo Vino de la Tierra de Castilla

Name:  Protocolo Vino de la Tierra de Castilla
Variety: Mainly Airen, part Macabeo
Country: Spain
Region: N/A
Year: 2012
Price: $6.95

Wine Shop Review: Greenish Gold. Subtle aromas of mint, lemon, and orange, with a hint of honeysuckle. Dry, understated and focused, offering clean citrus and melon flavors and slow-building sweetness. Finishes dry and brisk, with an echo of lemon. As usual, this is an outstanding value.
My Review: When I first smelled it I immediately got both of those flavors coming through, with hints of white flowers. I also thought I smelled some slight citrus rind in it. On the palate, it had some nice honeysuckle and melon flavors. I thought it was nice with a sweet smooth finish. It definitely finished with citrus and dryness. Not a bad white wine.

I did not taste this wine with food.
