Tasting- Villa D’ Rosso Toscano

Name: Villa D’ Rosso Toscano
Variety: 100% Sangiovese
Country: Italy
Region: Montepulciano
Year: N/A
Price: $6.95

Wine Maker/Shop Review: The Sangiovese grapes for this wine grow in a sunny hillside vineyard, just below the town walls of Montepulciano in Tuscany, Italy. This is an easy to drink, velvety wine that is wonderful with pastas, grilled meats, even pizzas. It is a wonderful rendition of a velvety Tuscan red wine.
My Review: When I first smelled this wine, I immediately smelled black currant and noticed the nice dark color. It also had some other nice earthy smells. I thought that it had a nice full tannin body. It definitely tasted like a typical red wine with the earthy dirt flavors. I also thought it tasted like Chianti that I have had in the past. It was just an average red wine.

I did not taste this wine with food.
